In order to convert an ISO file to a VDI file, you need to have VirtualBox installed on your system, and you need the ISO file that you’re going to convert. ![]() So when the reboot occurs, a reality paradox ensues and it fails utterly. BUT because the version of Windows I am attempting to install is different than the host OS it forces all existing files in the VM to be deleted, including the setup folder I'm trying to install from. I cannot figure out a way to install from the ISO. Run the tool, select the drive that you have Windows 10 installed on (it’s usually the C drive), and select where you want to save it. I have downloaded a Windows 10 Pro ISO from My Visual Studio (formerly MSDN) and obtained a license key for it. ![]()
