![]() ![]() The one advantage the commercial models have over originals is their new production barrels (Green Mountain or Criterion, for example) which are typically of better quality than the 75+ year old ones that were produced under wartime conditions. If you're just a shooter and not really concerned with having an original, then I'd get a commercial example, but just be careful which ones you get. $1000-$1500 will pretty easily get you an original M1 Carbine. ![]() ![]() I would link it but I'm using my phone now, just enter Fulton in the search function there The advantage to the Fulton is that it's a new gun, not 75 years old. The one on GunBroker is actually cheaper than the 1 I have on order (mine has a barrel upgrade, the one on GunBroker I assume has the standard GI spec barrel) This is a excellent price, the only reason I'm not buying it myself is I own 1 already plus I have a another on order that is being shipped out in the next couple of weeks. The reason I mention this is there is currently 1 listed on GunBroker for $1700 buy it now. There is 1 commercial manufacturer that is respected by Carbine nuts like myself.įulton Armory, they make a new production USGI spec rifle that is the equal to a USGI model imo. There is a clean looking Inland on the rifle exchange of EE that looks good. Most people here (myself included) will suggest buying a USGI spec one over most commercial copies.Įxpect to pay between $1200-1500 current market. ![]()
